This project digitizes the workflow used by road workers when documenting cars that remain parked in an area scheduled for roadwork. Normally, workers place signs, wait for the required notice period, and then walk the area to record license plates and vehicle details by hand before returning to the office to compile a PDF for the police.
Our app streamlines that entire process.
Workers scan cars on-site using their phone, where an on-device AI/ML model reads the license plate and color. The data is sent to a secure backend, stored together with location and timestamps, and can optionally include photo evidence. When the job is complete, the worker can generate a signed PDF report directly from the device—no paper notes, no manual data entry, and no need to return to the office before submitting the documentation.
The goal is a faster, more reliable, and fully digital workflow that improves accuracy and reduces administrative overhead for both road workers and their organizations.
